Astroneer adds new endgame content with Awakening update

Astroneer's Awakening update is out now for all platforms, offering new endgame content which all begins with a "mysterious new character."

Astroneer adds new Awakening update

"A mysterious new character gives you an urgent mission that takes you to the heart of the solar system," System Era Softworks says. "The Awakening Update is out now on all platforms." You'll need to finish the Composite Perfection, Final Entry, and Training Complete missions, according to the patch notes.

Astroneer is keeping its cards close to its chest when it comes to details about this new update, but an intriguing intro to those patch notes reads, "Hello. I wanted to be sure you saw this. We will talk soon. Please pay attention when we meet. The task I have for you is very important. You must finish all other priority missions beforehand. I will find you when you are ready. Do not worry. You will know when it is time."
