As MCU Prepares for X-Men Reboot, Millie Bobby Brown Joins Marvel’s Mutant Army as Kitty Pryde in One of the Most Epic, Viral Fan Art

In March 2019, Marvel Studios regained the film rights to the X-Men franchise and since then there have been multiple teases about an upcoming X-Men reboot that will integrate the story into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Not much is known about the film as of now as it is still in the pre-production stage, however, some fans have already decided which Hollywood star they want to see as Kitty Pryde / Shadowcat, Millie Bobby Brown.

A viral fan art has been circulating around the internet that has photoshopped Brown as the iconic X-Men character. There is no confirmation whether the old actors from Fox Studios’ X-Men franchise will return but it seems like the chances are low as this reboot will introduce the fans to a new X-Men team.

Recently, an artist named CaptainIronWidow, posted a fan art on DeviantArt in which actress Millie Bobby Brown has been reimagined as Kitty Pryde. The art has sparked many debates on social media over the casting of this character in the X-Men reboot.

The character has a lot of potential as Kitty Pryde possesses a “phasing” ability that allows her to become intangible. This power also disrupts any electrical field she passes through and lets her simulate levitation as well. The character has been portrayed by several Hollywood stars like Sumela Kay, Katie Stuart, and Elliot Page in Fox Studios’ X-Men movies.

Back in 2019, Disney bought 20th Century Fox for roughly $71 billion, and in the process, Marvel (also owned by Disney) regained the rights to some of the studio’s most famous franchises like X-Men. Throughout Phases 4 and 5 of the MCU, several hints related to mutants have been dropped, pointing at a possible X-Men reboot that will be integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As of now, only the idea has been pitched and a writer is yet to be hired. Some sources claim that the reboot will be a part of Marve’s Phase 7 but nothing has been confirmed so far. Fans will have to wait for a long time until Marvel announces the cast of this highly-anticipated project.
