Arcade bar opens in downtown Indianapolis
Tappers Arcade Bar offers 47 full-size arcade games and four pinball machines.
A brand new bar just opened up downtown with a unique concept that lets you play retro arcade games - for free!
Tappers Arcade Bar opened Monday on Virginia Avenue. Inside Tappers, there are 47 full-size arcade games and four pinball machines. Plus local craft beers are on tap along with 80's artwork, music and movies playing.
All the video games are completely free to play. Pinball costs 50 cents because the machines require more maintenance.
Arcade bars are popping up all across the country, but this is a first for Indy.
Customers said it makes them feel like a kid again.
"I think the arcade's having a resurgence, said Tappers co-owner Jeff Moulton. "People are just into it again."
Just in their first two hours of opening Monday, Tappers had about 100 people come in the bar.
