Amazon appears to be targeting another facility in the region – WSOC TV

CHARLOTTE — It looks like Amazon.com Inc. could be teeing up yet another Charlotte-area facility.

At a Gaston Business Association event yesterday, Bessemer City Manager James Inman gave a presentation on development activity. One of the projects coming to the city is named Project GT, he said. Inman described the project as a distribution center of 180,000-plus square feet that would create between 200 and 400 jobs.

Inman did not name the company behind Project GT. But the map shown for the project indicates it would be built on a site purchased by Amazon last year.
