A Life Cut Short
Alyssa Harka was a beautiful soul, kind-hearted, silly, loving, and free-spirited. She was a tell-you-how-it-is kind of woman, but most importantly, she was the most loving wife and mother to Cory Harka and their beautiful daughters Mackenzie and Adalynn. Alyssa lived for her girls and loved every moment spent with her family.
Alyssa was the daughter of Joaquim Bernardo and Paula (Bernardo) Nguyen and was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Saucon Valley High School in 2010 and went on to attend Northampton Community College and Lehigh Carbon County Community College. Most recently, she was studying at DeVry University, where she was on the Dean's list, pursuing her degree in medical billing and coding.
Alyssa was a member of the Holy Infancy Catholic Church in Bethlehem and enjoyed dancing, swimming, and going on trips with her family. Above all, Alyssa was a loving mother who cherished raising her daughters and giving them all her love.

Remembering Alyssa Harka
The news of Alyssa's passing has left many heartbroken, and her memory will always be cherished. She was survived by her loving husband Cory and parents Joaquim Bernardo and Paula Nguyen and her husband An. Alyssa will also be remembered by her daughters Mackenzie Harka and Adalynn Harka, brother Jonathan Bernardo, step-brother Matthew Nguyen, maternal grandmother Teresa Bernardo, in-laws Annette Harka and Paul Harka, sister-in-law Jamie Harka, brother-in-law Josh Harka, best friend and half-sister Paula Pintor, and many loving aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends.
Alyssa was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Hortencio Bernardo and paternal grandparents Joaquim Bernardo and Amelia Bernardo.

Honoring Alyssa Harka
Jamie Harka of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, has set up a GoFundMe page to assist the family with funeral and other expenses during this difficult time. The goal for the page was set at $10,000, and so far, it has raised $1,285. All funds raised will go directly to Cory and the girls to help with anything they need to get through this incredibly tough time in their lives right now. A Funeral Service will be held at 8 P.M. on Monday, May 8, 2023, at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 6 P.M. until the time of service.
