Akwa Ibom people welcome Hilda Baci, mum in heartwarming video
The people of Akwa Ibom gave celebrity chef Hilda Effiong Bassey, professionally known as Hilda Baci, and her mother a spectacular homecoming greeting.
The Nigerian chef, who had been actively marketing her homecoming event and involvement in the inauguration of Akwa-Ibom Governor-elect, Pastor Umo Eno, took to social media to give glimpses of the occasion.

In the post, Hilda and her mum were welcomed by performers dressed in traditional attire as well as a crowd of supporters and live traditional music as she touched down in Uyo, the capital of Akwa-Ibom state.

Baci broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time on Monday, May 15th, surpassing Indian chef Lata Tondon’s record in 2019.
On Thursday, May 11, the Akwa Ibom State native began a four-day ‘cook-a-thon’ at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State, that lasted 100 hours, breaking the global record of 87 hours, 45 minutes.
