3 Things I Love About Neil Lane's New Jewelry. 2 Things I Love About Neil Lane. And 1 Great Tip for Brides, Courtesy of (Who Else?) Neil Lane!

Cough five-year anniversary Cough Rory Cough. Diamond and Rose Gold Ring, $1,599.

2 Things I Love About Neil Lane

  1. He loves his customers—all of them.

Neil was happy to chat about the A-listers he lends his jewels to. (On Miley Cyrus: "When she looks at her engagement ring, she's doesn't look like a big celebrity. She looks just like every other newly engaged girl who loves her ring." Aww! (See the engagement ring that Neil designed for Miley here!)) But he's also really excited about the women who will wear Neil Lane Designs: "American woman are ready for beautiful, stylish jewelry that doesn't look cookie cutter. And they deserve it at prices that they can afford."

  1. He loves this collection.

There's always a concern, with a budget-friendly line, that the designer just slapped his name on some rando jewelry and called it a day. But Neil really spoke about each piece, what he loved about it, and what inspired him to make it. Here's another one of my favorites:

Diamond Necklace, $729.

1 Great Tip for Brides, Courtesy of Neil Lane.

"You spend months and months shopping for your dress. Spend a good amount of time considering your jewelry. Try on different pieces. And DON'T just wear something because some great-aunt says you must." There can be a lot of pressure to wear grandma's brooch or your mother-in-laws pearls, but just like you wouldn't wear their wedding dresses if they didn't suit you, you shouldn't wear jewelry out of obligation. If you're worried about hurting someone's feelings, Neil suggests wearing the old jewelry as your "something old" for the ceremony, and then swapping it out for something new for the reception. Maybe these?
