What's better than watching an imaginary psychopath going on a rampage, you might say? An immortal one? Well, not really, but that's what the characters of Hellsing have to deal with here. Alucard is arguably one of the most iconic vampire characters in fiction, second to Bram Stoker's Dracula. Fun fact, Dracula spelled backwards is, yes, Alucard.

What a great night! Makes me want to suck so much blood... Such a nice, quiet night.

Taking a jibe at his opponents and making them feel overpowered before a fight is something that Alucard revels in. Sworn to the Hellsing organization in their quest to wipe out the vampires, Alucard doesn't immediately go for the kill. Rather, he loves to humiliate his targets and end their lives slowly and painfully. Lastly, one thing that sets Alucard apart from other anime psychopaths is his deep-rooted hate for the monster he's become, which the character shrouds splendidly with his charisma and arrogance.

While there are other characters on this list who might not give a psychopathic vibe from the start, Midari does. From the get-go, one can notice that Midari's character is straight-up psychotic and sadistic. Unlike the typical psychotic characters in anime, Midori is bold, aggressive, and masochistic.

I finally understood why people gamble. We want to avoid pain. We're afraid to die. But that's why it's so good!

Her psychopathic behavior can be presented with various examples, such as gouging out her own eye with a pen simply to pay off her debt. Not only that, but Midari was willing to bet her other eye for 300 million yen against the president just so she could get the kicks from another gambling experience.

A desire to have complete authority over the Leaf Village and going to any lengths to achieve it pretty much sums up Danzo's character throughout the storyline of Naruto: Shippuden. Danzo was a mastermind who orchestrated the annihilation of the Uchiha Clan to eliminate the inside threats to the leaf village. He did this while simultaneously collecting the precious Dojutsu of the Uchiha, the Sharingan.

The princess did become Hokage after all. With Katsuyu's techniques, she'll be able to prevent total annihilation... but there will still be some casualties. Those are necessary sacrifices for us. In order for me to become Hokage.

We've seen several powerful eye abilities across different anime series, but these are surely the strongest ones.

The prime examples of Danzo's psychopathic behavior are his brainwashing of children taken by the Foundation of The Anbu, his facilitation of Orochimaru's experiments on children, and his ordering the Anbu members of the Foundation to stand down in the face of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's attack on the village. All these instances go to show that Danzo doesn't care about his own people dying if that gets him closer to taking the throne of the Hokage.

Displaying all the typical qualities of a psychopath, Orochimaru was the near-perfect villain that Naruto introduced in its early days. However, in Shippuden, the villain's story felt weak as his redemption arc failed to uphold the gravity of his criminal activities. Orochimaru's fascination with immortality and learning every jutsu possible, by any means possible, is what puts him among the top psychopaths in the anime world.

I refuse… to let this happen! I am Orochimaru! I am immortal! I will not die here! Destined to discover the true meaning behind everything! Destined to take control of everything in this world!

His experiments on children with no regard for their lives under Konoha's nose, suggesting killing children Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan without a second thought, goes to show his lack of empathy or remorse. Even after his redemption, Orochimaru did not just stop working on achieving his ultimate dream of learning new jutsu. However, he's probably the only character on this list who's found a way to peacefully work on them.

Hisoka Morow from the world of Hunter x Hunter is another brilliantly written character, but not because of his good qualities. Hisoka's character can be best described in a few words: sadist, manipulative, and serial killer, which are but a handful of his personality traits. Throughout the series, Hisoka has shown that his actions are for no one's benefit, but because of his own insatiable desire to spill blood.

Funny how unripe fruit... always has such a particular appeal.

During his conversation with Isaac Netero, Hisoka revealed that the only reason he wanted to become a hunter was to spill blood. In his twisted mindset, becoming a hunter would give him a license to kill anyone to quell his unquenchable lust and fight strong opponents without being answerable to anyone.

Wanting to escape the life of poverty and be recognized as a state alchemist, Shou Tucker did the worst possible barbaric acts. Initially introduced as a shy and calm personality, Shou turned out to be quite a psychopath, even by some of the anime character standards from this list. What makes it worse is that Shou's character never shows any remorse for the gory acts he committed to keep his dream afloat.

I did it, boys. I finally did it. A chimera that understands human speech.

While the other anime psychopaths on this list have surely hurt children, Shou Tucker did something sinister to his own child. To keep his status as the state alchemist, Shou created a chimera capable of speech, by merging his own daughter and her dog. Before this, Shou had created another chimera by merging his wife with an animal. Being able to commit such horrific acts without any remorse is what puts this character among the top anime psychopaths.
