1 killed, 1 hurt in 2-vehicle crash on northeast side

One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on the northeast side of Indianapolis early Friday.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Emergency crews responded to a fatal crash overnight on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

The crash occurred on East 30th Street under the I-465 overpass near N. Franklin Road around 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Police say two vehicles were involved in the crash, with one person in each vehicle. One of the drivers died in the crash, with the other taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
