'We had been tricked': Workers say they were paid $500 by Samuel Haskell for moving body parts from home

ENCINO, CALIFORNIA: A group of laborers claim they were hired to move trash bags carrying "body parts" from Samuel Haskell’s Los Angeles home.

Haskell, 35, the son of a top Hollywood music talent agent Sam Haskel Sr, who was arrested on Wednesday, November 8, on suspicion of murder, allegedly paid them $500 to dispose of the bags.

'They weren’t rocks': Laborers discover horrifying contents of trash bags collected from Samuel Haskell’s  home

The workers said they were hired by Haskell to move three large trash bags from the inside of his garage which he told them was full of rocks.

"When we picked up the bags, we could tell they weren’t rocks," one worker told NBC4.

The laborers, who didn’t want to be identified, claimed the bags were soft and heavy, appearing to be filled with meat and weighing around 50 pounds.

After moving the bags into a truck, they said something didn’t feel right about the job and they stopped the truck a block from the house to inspect them.

It was at that moment, they say, that they saw the bags filled with body parts.

"I was astonished," the worker said, adding "Of course, I felt bad. We had been tricked."

'God was watching over us': Laborers returned the bags and money to  Samuel Haskell

They said they raced back to Haskell’s home, left the bags on his driveway, and returned the money.

"God was watching over us,' they added, saying they feared for their lives due to the horrifying nature of their find.

When they told Haskell they didn’t want to be involved in the situation, they said Haskell tried to pass off the body parts as Halloween props.

The laborers added that they immediately rushed to inform the police, but claimed they were turned away from two police stations when they tried to make a report, the outlet mentioned. 

After the California Highway Patrol station in De Soto, California told them to report to the Los Angeles Police Department.

According to the report, an LAPD precinct in Topanga told them to leave and call 911 from the parking lot.

Samuel Haskell is accused of murdering his wife Mei Haskell

Haskell is accused of murdering his wife Mei Haskell, 37, after a dismembered female torso was found, and linked to him.

His wife is missing, as are her parents YanXiang Wang, 64, and Gaoshan Li, 72.

The three children, aged six, eight, and 12 - Samuel Bond Haskell V, James Donnelly Haskell, and William Kirkpatrick Haskell II - were found safe at school and are now with family.

Samuel Haskell Sr, now retired, was a high-profile agent with William Morris, whose clients included Dolly Parton, George Clooney, Whoopi Goldberg, and King Charles’s brother, Prince Edward.
