'St Meeks' gets Lionel Messi lookalike to give Jamie Carragher Christmas present in wild prank

CBS Sports has attempted to stop Lionel Messi's feud with pundit Jamie Carragher in hilarious fashion with the help of Micah Richards.

Messi previously opted against appearing on the American television network due to his rocky relationship with the Liverpool legend.

Carragher revealed he received a direct message on Instagram from the Barcelona legend and eight-time Ballon d'Or himself.

Messi labelled the popular pundit a 'burro' in Spanish, which translates to 'donkey' in English.

"I had a little pop at [Cristiano] Ronaldo earlier in the season, didn’t think it was a great signing for [Manchester] United, then I said the example of Messi, I didn’t think Messi's a great signing for PSG," Carragher said in January 2022 which prompted Messi's reply.

While CBS could not persuade the pair to bury the hatchet face-to-face, they used Richards, who was playing the role of 'St Meeks', to offer Carragher a gift.

The show opted to use a Messi lookalike wearing an Argentina shirt to deliver a Christmas message to Carragher.

“This is a message for Jamie," he said on Wednesday night.

"As it is the season of goodwill, no one should be alone at Christmas. I have decided that you should Never Walk Alone. Here’s my Christmas gift to you…”

The video then cuts to an image of a donkey.

However, it remains to be seen if the real Argentinian World Cup winner will ever forgive Carragher.
